Creamy Mustard Chicken

Oh so creamy, with a wonderful little mustard tang.
This is one meal that is worth making OVER AND OVER again!


Ingredients:

  • 16 chicken pieces – I buy the big braai trays
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 cups/500 ml cream
  • ½ cup/125 ml wholegrain mustard
  • 15 ml cornflour or arrow root
Method:
  • Preheat oven to 180 C. 
  • Clean the chicken and season with salt and pepper. 
  • Pack onto an oven tray or casserole. 
  • Roast chicken in the oven for 40 minutes. 
  • Mix together the cream and mustard. 
  • Mix the arrow root or mazeina with a little water and stir into the cream mixture. 
  • Pour over the chicken and bake for another 30 minutes. 

Serve with cauli-rice ( caulii-couscous) , brown rice or just a salad.
