Beef and Mushroom Casserole


A quick & delicious casserole


Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 45 minutes
Serves: 6

Ingredients:
  • 30 ml oil
  • 1 onion, cut into wedges
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 500 g rump steak, cut into cubes
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 5 ml salt
  • 3 ml coarsely ground black pepper
  • 150 g baby mushrooms (whole)
  • 500 ml water
  • 1 Knorr Beef Stock Pot
  • 1 pinch dried sage
  • 1 pinch dried thyme
  • 25 ml chopped parsley 
  • I added a bit of chilli flakes, just for some zing. 
Method:
  1. Heat the oil and fry the onion and garlic until soft,
  2. Dust the meat cubes in the flour, salt and pepper. Add to the pot and lightly brown.
  3. Add the mushrooms and fry for 2 minutes.
  4. Add the water, Knorr Beef Stock Pot, sage and thyme and simmer on medium heat for 45 minutes.
  5. Stir in the chopped parsley and serve.
