Homemade Tomato Jam

This tomato jam is a delicious on burgers, crackers (with some cream cheese)
or even on top off a simple savoury tart.


Ingredients:
  • 1kg cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 180ml sugar
  • 30ml apple cider vinegar
  • 3cm ginger, finely grated
  • 3ml cumin seeds
  • 5ml salt
  • pinch cayenne pepper

Method:

Bring all the ingredients to a boil on high while stirring.
Reduce the heat and simmer for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally, until the mixture has thickened to the consistency of jam.

Allow to cool.
