This recipe was given to me by my sister-in-law, Carla. Serves about 4 (but so delicious), there wont be any extra for seconds, so feel free to double up.
Preparation Time: Very quick and easy. (excluding the marinating time).
Ingredients:
- 10ml Chilli Powder
- 5ml Ground Cumin
- 5ml Ground Coriander
- 5ml Turmeric
- 30ml Sour Cream
- 15ml Crushed Garlic
- 5ml Fresh Ginger, Grated
- 5ml Salt
- 60ml Tomato Paste
- 750g Skinless Boneless Chicken Breasts, cut into pieces
- 30ml Ghee
- 1 Large Onion
- 125ml Fresh Cream
- Coriander to Garnish
Method:
- In a large bowl combine, chilli, cumin, coriander, turmeric, sour cream, garlic, ginger, salt and tomato paste.
- Add the chicken and marinate for 45 minutes in the fridge.
- In a large saucepan, heat the ghee and fry the onions until mushy.
- Add the marinated chicken and cook for 30 minutes.
- Add the fresh cream, turn down the heat and simmer for 5 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with coriander.
Only Yahs for this recipe. so quick, so easy and so yummy. I would definately serve with Naan Bread, to dip in the delicious sauce.
